Down to Earth: Practical support for those struggling with funeral costs

A project of Quaker Social Action, Down to Earth is a helpline-based service for people on low incomes and benefits looking to arrange a funeral.

They also offer online resources and in-house training on a range of topics, including the complex Social Fund Funeral Expenses Payment (the benefit from the Department for Work and Pensions) and other avenues for raising funds and ways of reducing the costs of a funeral.
