Day for Life is the day in the Church’s year dedicated to raising awareness about the meaning and value of human life at every stage and in every condition. It is celebrated annually across the three Episcopal Conferences—England and Wales, Ireland, and Scotland.

This year’s theme is ‘Compassion and Hope at the End of Life – Say no to assisted suicide, and yes to building a culture of care.’

O Lord, support us all the daylong of this troublous life,

until the shadows lengthen, and the evening comes,

and the busy world is hushed, and the fever of life is over,

and our work is done.

Then, Lord, in thy mercy,

grant us a safe lodging, a holy rest,

and peace at the last.

Amen.
